JAMMU, Nov 22: Inter-Collegiate Football (Men’s) Tournament 2024-25, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, concluded here today with MIET College Jammu clinching the championship title.
The final match was held at Football Ground, University of Jammu.
In a thrilling final, MIET College triumphed over PG Department, University of Jammu in a closely contested penalty shootout, securing victory with a score of 5-4.
Earlier in the semi-finals, PG Department JU defeated GMC Kathua with a dominant 4-1 while MIET Jammu advanced by defeating GDC Udhampur with a convincing 3-0 score line.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest at Football (M) Championship 2024-25.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Vimal Kishore, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, P.D Singh, Jai Bharat, Shamsher Singh, Sukomal Ganguly, Ashok Singh Bali, Inderjeet Singh, Rishiv Sharma, Manjeet Kotwal, Richa Mandla, Vandna Sharma and others.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Menia, Abhishek, Dil Bhadur, Kartik Sharma and Gagan Kumar.
