MIER holds guest lecture

JAMMU, Nov 3: Carrying forward its tradition of conducting guest lectures by eminent educationists, MIER College of Education invited a seasoned educationist  and scholar, Prof Gurucharan Singh Bhalla, Professor, Bronx University, New York, USA to deliver a guest lecture on the theme ‘Comparison between American and Indian Schools with reference to Training of Teachers’.
Dr Arun K. Gupta, Chairman MIER Group of Institutions, Dr Renu Gupta, Director MIER and other faculty members and students of MIER College of Education attended the lecture.
Welcoming the speaker, Komal Sharma, Assistant Professor, highlighted the achievements of Prof Bhalla who happens to be a veteran teacher, teaching mathematics for 55 years and conducting workshops at various schools and colleges in India.
Dr Bhalla, then interacted with the teacher trainees and acquainted them with the system of school education prevalent in America.
Dr Arun pointed out that each country has to face unique challenges which it has to overcome.
To conclude the session, Suman Gupta, Assistant Professor presented a formal vote of thanks.
