JAMMU, Dec 8: The MIER College of Education held its annual prize distribution programme at BC Road campus with great enthusiasm. Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister of Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, J&K, was the chief guest and Dr Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER, was the guest of honour.
The event was attended by Prof Adit Gupta, Director and Principal, Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, Prof Mool Raj, Controller of Examinations, Prof Nishta Rana, Head of SoE, Dr Monika Bajaj, Head of SSSH; along with deputy heads, faculty, IQAC members and student achievers.
Prof Adit Gupta welcomed the gathering, highlighting awards for academic, co-curricular, research and service excellence. Awards presented included academic achievement, budding researcher, gender champions, best NSS volunteer, best eco-warriors, co-curricular excellence, best sporting excellence and student of the year. Five faculty conveners also received awards of appreciation.
In his address, Javed Rana congratulated awardees and commended MIER’s commitment to holistic growth. The chief guest received a memento from Dr Renu Gupta and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Palvi Mangotra.
