MIER College conducts AI Workshops

JAMMU, Oct 11: MIER College of Education (Autonomous), Jammu in collaboration with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Canada, successfully organised two intensive workshops on Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration in higher education.
Dr. Kaushal Kumar Bhagat, Assistant Professor at the Advanced Technology Development Centre and Vice Chairman of Centre for Teaching Learning and Virtual Skilling at IIT Kharagpur was resource person for both workshops.
The first workshop on ‘Institutional AI Policy for Teaching, Learning and Research’ brought together faculty members to develop a comprehensive institutional framework for responsible AI integration.
The second workshop on ‘Teaching with Generative AI’ offered practical training to utilise generative AI tools in teaching.
Participants learned prompting techniques, including the ART model, developed AI-integrated assessments and curriculum materials and created customised AI chatbots for educational purposes, such as AI tutors and feedback systems.
Prof. Mool Raj, Head of the Centre for Educational Technology at MIER, coordinated the workshops under the leadership of Prof. Adit Gupta, Director of MIER College of Education.
