SAMBA, Mar 21: Media-XI team thrashed Samba Police team in a friendly match, played here today.
Batting first, Samba Police scored 78 runs in 12 overs match. Ajay Singh and Pradeep Sambyal clinched three wickets and Lokesh Verma took two wickets for Media-XI.
In reply, Media XI chased the target in last over and won the match, Shyam Sundar made 29 runs, while Vishal Jasrotia and Sunil Choudhary scored 10 runs each.
Shashi Chib and Ranjit Singh acted as umpires, whereas Virendra Singh Salathia, chairman KP Higher Secondary School and Sanjay Gupta Deputy Chief Warden of Civil Defence Samba and many others were present during the match.
