JAMMU, Dec 4: The ongoing Inter-Collegiate Badminton (Men & Women) Championship 2024-25, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, witnessed 10 thrilling matches at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, here today.
In the Women’s section, dominant performances were displayed as PG Department, Jammu University swept aside GDC Ramnagar with a 2-0 win. Similarly, MIER Jammu outplayed GCW Udhampur, and MIET Jammu defeated Dogra Degree College, both securing 2-0 victories. In another match, GCW Parade convincingly beat GDC Kathua by 2-0.
The Men’s section also showcased intense competition. GDC Kathua triumphed over MIER College Jammu by 2-0, while GDC Kunjwani defeated GDC Ramnagar with the same scoreline. UIET Kathua edged out MBS College Jammu in a closely fought by 2-1 match. K.C. Law College beat GDC Vijaypur, and PG Department, Jammu University overcame GDC R.S. Pura, both with 2-0 wins. In the final match, GDC Mendhar defeated GDC Paloura by 2-0.
The matches were officiated by a skilled team comprising Ravish Vaid, Vinay Manhas, Jeevan Lal, Arjun Sharma and Ritik Jandial. The championship continues to showcase exceptional talent and competitive spirit among collegiate players.
