Trimurti Balidan Yaadgar Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Mar 22: The 2nd match of the ongoing Trimurti Balidan Yaadgar T20 Cricket Cup between Press Club-XI and NSF CC has been rescheduled to reserve days due to heavy downpour.
Initially, today’s match got delayed due to rain but later the Press Club-XI led by Naveen Kaul decided to bat first after winning the toss and posted 116 runs on the board by losing eight wickets in reduced 16 over match. Sumit (28) & Jugal (27) remained the top scorers for Press Club-XI while Rupesh made 12 runs. For NSF CC, Arif took three wickets while Vikarn clinched two wickets and Praful & Salman shared a wicket apiece.
In reply, NSF CC was at 11runs by losing one wicket in two overs when umpires decided to abandon the play due to heavy downpour. However, the umpires in consultation with all the stakeholders decided to call off remaining matches of the day.
The matches will be played afresh on reserve days.
Former member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Ex Ranji player Ankush Abrol was the chief guest of the event, whereas Dr Vikas Sharma was the guest of honor. The tournament is being organised by National Secular Forum at GGM Science College Ground.
