SRINAGAR, Oct 7: The 69th National School Games-2025 entered its second day with exciting football matches across various venues here today.
The fixtures featured a mix of high-scoring victories and closely fought contests.
At the TRC Synthetic Turf, Manipur defeated Gujarat by 4-1, with goals by David, L. Seitam, Puni, and Borish.
At the Polo Ground, Madhya Pradesh recorded an emphatic 10-0 win over Andhra Pradesh, showcasing dominant offensive play.
IBSSO edged past Telangana by 2-1 at the Green Valley Football Field, while Punjab beat its rival by 2-0 in a match held at Kashmir University.
Two matches ended in draws – Uttar Pradesh held Maharashtra 1-1 at the Polo Ground, while Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana played out an intense tie, earning one point each.
Concluding the day’s action at TRC, CISCE crushed Puducherry by 7-1, led by Sayan and Jeevanth, both scoring hat-tricks.
The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has been commended for the smooth and spirited organization of this prestigious national sporting event. The matches will continue over the coming days.
