JAMMU, Jan 19: Maninder Singh from the Jammu and Kashmir Chapter clinched the gold medal in the Table Tennis event at the prestigious Indian Institute of Architects Premium League (IIAPL), held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from January 16 to 19, 2025. In an impressive final, he defeated Hiten of Gujarat with a dominant 3-0 score, showcasing his skill and determination.
The IIAPL tournament saw participation from architects across 20 states, making it a highly competitive national-level event. Jammu and Kashmir had a strong representation, with 16 participants competing in various sporting categories, including Table Tennis, Badminton, and Cricket.
Maninder Singh’s remarkable performance in Table Tennis stood out, earning him the gold medal, which he received from Former International Cricketer Rajesh Chauhan during the award ceremony. His victory has not only brought pride to the J&K Chapter but has also elevated the state’s presence in national sports competitions.
