MAM College lifts Cluster University Inter-Collegiate Football title

JAMMU, Dec 3: The Cluster University of Jammu hosted the finals of the Inter-Collegiate Football (Men) Tournament at the GGM Science College Football Ground, drawing enthusiastic participation from students across various constituent colleges. The campus buzzed with excitement as teams showcased high levels of skill, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Chief guest, Dr. Twinkle Suri, Dean Academic Affairs, addressed the gathering and underlined the crucial role of sports in fostering discipline, leadership and character development among youth. Guest of honour, Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education and Sports, appreciated the organisers and participating teams for their commitment and spirited performances.
The much-anticipated final match between MAM College and GGM Science College witnessed intense competition. Both teams scored once during regulation time—Paras Dalia for MAM College and Aryan Jamwal for GGM Science College—bringing the score to 1–1. The match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where MAM College emerged victorious by 4-1, with successful penalties by Paras, Daksh, Sumit and Paras Dalia.
Dr. Davinder K. Sharma, Incharge Physical Director, GGM Science College, efficiently coordinated the arrangements, ensuring professional conduct of the tournament. The matches were efficiently officiated by Gagan Kumar, Aman Sudan, Kartik Sharma, Abhishek Chandan and Lalit Jamwal, who ensured fair play and maintained the competitive integrity of the event. The tournament concluded with a medal ceremony, where the chief guest felicitated the winners and runners-up for their outstanding performances.
