JAMMU, Nov 24: The Inter-College Basketball Tournament organized by the Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) concluded at Govt. MAM College, here today, with MAM College winning the Men’s title and GCW Gandhi Nagar claiming the Women’s championship.
In the men’s category, MAM College defeated GGM Science College BY 30-13 in the final, after GGM Science had narrowly beaten Govt. SPMR College of Commerce by 22-20 in the preliminaries. In the women’s section, GCW Gandhi Nagar overpowered MAM College by 16-6 in the final, following a 20-0 win against GGM Science College.
Prof. (Dr.) Monika Sharma, Dean of Faculty of Arts, was the chief guest, with Prof. (Dr.) Archana Koul, Principal of MAM College, as guest of honour and Dr. Vinod Bakshi as special guest. Dr. Bakshi lauded the university’s new sports policy promoting meritorious students.
Best Player awards were presented to Vikrant Sharma (Men, MAM College) and Bharti Singh (Women, GCW Gandhi Nagar). The tournament showcased competitive spirit and skill across all participating colleges.
