Malhotra completes AFC B-Diploma coaching course

JAMMU, Jan 19: Arun Malhotra, a former Indian footballer and Technical Member of the All India Football Federation (AIFF), has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the prestigious Asian Football Confederation (AFC) B-Diploma Coaching Course.
The course was conducted in two modules: from September 26 to October 4 and from December 9 to 17, 2024 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and was organized by ARA FC. The sessions were led by Shakti Chauhan, a Pro License holder and former coach of the Indian Women’s U-16 National Team.
Arun expressed his gratitude for the invaluable learning experience, highlighting his passion for football development. His long-term goal is to establish football academies and clubs in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) to nurture and groom young footballing talent. He believes the knowledge and insights gained during this course will play a vital role in his efforts to uplift youth football and improve coaching standards across the region.
In addition to completing the coaching course, Arun was honored with the prestigious Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta Khel Ratan Award recently, in Jammu, by Lieutenant Governor of J&K, Manoj Sinha. He thanked ONGC, J&K, and the AIFF for their continuous support, which helped him take this important step in his coaching journey.
