Maharashtra bags gold in Individual Men event, Karnataka in Women

JAMMU, Mar 23: On 2nd day of the ongoing National Aerobic Gymnastics Championship at MA Stadium Jammu, the medals were decided for Individual Men Final (National Development) event, Individual Women Final event and Mix-Pair event.
The gold medal in Individual Men Final event was won by Maharashtra Gymnast Surya Sachin Soundala, silver medal by Prem Prajapati of Gujarat and bronze by Kuldeep Patil of Madhya Pradesh. The medals were awarded to them by Dr Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor Vishwakarma University Palwal (Haryana), Dr Pankaj Dhar (Business Entrepreneur) and Dr Ashish Koul (MCH Surgery, AIIMS).
In Individual Women Final event, the gold medal was bagged by Reyanshi Patnaik from Karnataka, silver medal by Lairenmayum Yaisana of Manipur and bronze by Arya Kathane of Gujarat. The medals were awarded to the winners by Dr Ansuya Jamwal (KAS), Dr Sandeep Singh (Sports Medicine Specialist) and Dr Goutam Goel.
In the Mix-Pair (National Development) event, the gold was claimed by Riddhi Hemang Mehta & Swaraj Laxman Gattuwar of Maharashtra, silver by Hitarth Gandhi & Aarya Kathane of Gujarat and bronze by Shubham Bafna & Diya Mohan of Karnataka. The medals were awarded to them by GH Mir (former J&K minister), Dr Harbaksh Singh (Chief Medical Officer) and Baljinder Pal Singh (Divisional Sports Officer, J&K Sports Council).
Speaking on the occasion, Raj Nehru, GH Mir and Dr Ansuya Jamwal advised the young gymnasts to continue the game with same passion and not to derail from mainstream and help the country as a noble citizen. They lauded the efforts of the J&K Sports Council for make available such International level infrastructure and whole team of Gymnastics Association of J&K under the leadership Kiran Wattal (president, Gymnastics Association of J&K and vice-president of Gymnastics Federation of India).
