JAMMU, July 4: Lucky Star Cricket Club defeated White Cricket Club by 7 wickets in the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup 2014 tournament sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and being played at KC Public School ground adjacent to KC Sports Club.
Earlier, batting first, WCC collapsed at a paltry total of 88 runs in 12.5 overs. Ashwani Bhat and Sanjay Koul contributed 37 and 19 runs to the total respectively. Vicky was the pick of the bowlers for Lucky Star Cricket Club, who bagged 3 important wickets, while Sourav and Nikhil took 2 wickets each. Pankaj and Rohit claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Lucky Star scored the required runs in 10.4 overs, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Rohit top scored with 33 runs, while Sourav contributed 28 runs to the winning cause. For WCC, Rajesh Raina claimed all the 3 wickets to fall. Sourav of Lucky Star Cricket Club was adjudged man of the match for his all-round display.
Abhijyot Singh Bedi, Sandeep Manchanda and Sohail Yusuf were the officials of the match.
