JAMMU, Apr 21: As part of its Annual Training Camp (ATC), a lecture on cyber security was held at NTA Nagrota here today.
The lecture was organized by 1 J&K Girls Battalion NCC, Srinagar.
The session featured distinguished speaker Mohd Yassen Kichloo, Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime) and CICE, Jammu and Kashmir, who delivered an engaging and insightful lecture.
He addressed key aspects of cyber security, including current threats, preventive strategies and the importance of digital awareness.
The lecture aimed to raise awareness about the growing challenges of cybercrime and its far-reaching implications in the digital era.
Kichloo delved into various dimensions of cyber security, including emerging trends in cybercrimes, safeguarding sensitive data and the ethical use of digital platforms.
The speaker also emphasized the intersection of traditional disciplines like botany and forensics, inspiring researchers to adopt secure digital tools for data analysis and collection.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC girl cadets who are participating in this camp from all regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
A dynamic Q&A session further enriched the interactive discussion, making the event both informative and impactful.
The Camp Commandant Col SP Tiwari said, “This session has empowered our cadets with essential knowledge about cyber security, promoting a culture of digital responsibility.”
Another practical demonstration from Fire and emergency services was organized the same day for the NCC cadets of CATC camp spreading awareness, promoting rapid response and strengthening service for society.
