JAMMU, Nov 28: Lawrence Public School celebrated its Annual Day at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium with a captivating opera performance titled Surya Putri Tawi, focusing on the theme Save Tawi Save Jammu. The event commenced with the Suryaputri Tawi Arti, followed by rich tributes to the school’s Founder Principal, Shakuntla Joshi and Devender Singh Rana.
In his welcome address, the Chairman of the school, Wing Commander M.M. Joshi, announced the prestigious Jammu Gaurav Samman awards, recognizing socially responsible citizens for their tireless contributions toward society. The students’ stunning artistic performances enthralled the audience and highlighted the significance of the event.
The chief guest for the occasion was Padma Bhushan Ghulam Nabi Azad, who honoured prominent religious leaders and distinguished individuals from various social organizations. The awardees were recognized for their exceptional contributions to education, social welfare, law, and community service.
