BARAMULLA, Jan 20: Team Ladakh has achieved remarkable success at the 4th National Winter Curling Championship, which concluded in Gulmarg, today. Organized by the Curling Federation of India and the JK Curling Association, the championship saw fierce competition from 18 participating States UTs.
Ladakh’s team, comprising 13 players and a manager, demonstrated exceptional skill, securing a Gold medal in the Senior Curling Championship, a Bronze in the Senior Girls category, and a Silver in the Mixed Doubles event.
In the Senior Curling Championship, the Gold medal was claimed by Sadiq Ali, Mansoor Ali, Syed Shamsuddin, and Ahsaan Ali, while Rigzin Dolkar, Nazira Banoo, Deachen Dolkar, and Stanzin Chotso earned the Bronze in the Senior Girls category.
The Silver medal in Mixed Doubles went to Mohd Yaseen and Skarma Saldan. Ali Asgar, President of the Ladakh Curling Association, expressed gratitude to the UT Administration.
