JAMMU, Aug 28: In the second match of T-20 Tri-series, KV XI defeated Tawi Veterans Cricket Club at Sidhra Forest Ground to take the lead of 2-0, here today.
KV XI led by Samendar Rathore won the toss and opted to bat first. KV XI scored 135 runs by losing 4 wickets in stipulated 20 overs wherein Sachin Sharma made 36 runs, while Sikander Oberoi scored 27 runs and Manjeet & Sachin Kumar contributed 21 and 19 runs to the total respectively. From the bowling side, Sonu Malik took 3 wickets, while Varun got 1 wicket.
In reply, Tawi Veterans could not chase the target and bundled out at 90 runs in 18.3 overs wherein Pankaj made 28 runs, while Ashwani scored 27 runs. From the bowling side, Sachin Kumar, Sushant and Usman took 2 wickets each.
Sachin Kumar was declared as player of the match for his all-round performance.
