JAMMU, June 21: KTCC and White Cricket Club (WCC) crushed their rivals in their respective matches and advanced into next round of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup being played at KC Public School cricket ground.
The first match of the day was played between Striker Cricket Club and KTCC. Striker Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 110 runs in 20 overs. Jagandeep Singh and Mohit Sharma scored 28 and 22 runs respectively.
From KTCC side, Sonu took 3 wickets and Anku scalped 2 wickets.
In reply, KTCC chased the target in 19.4 overs and won the match. Jagjot Singh scored 38 runs and Harshid made 17 runs.
For WCC side, Chandan took 3 wickets and Rishav claimed 2 wickets.
Jagjot of KTCC was declared as man of the match.
The second match of the day was played between Manorama Friends Cricket Club and White Cricket Club (WCC).
White Cricket Club won the toss and decided to bat first and made 155 runs in 20 overs. Rahul and Rohan scored 60 and 54 runs respectively.
For Manorama Friends Cricket Club side, Ankit and Raju took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Manorama Friends Cricket Club were all out at 81 runs in 16 overs and lost the match. Anshul scored 22 runs for his side.
For WCC side, Arun and Sunny took 3 wickets each and Rohan scalped 1 wicket.
Rohan of WCC was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Deepak, Abhijot Singh Bedi, Dilaber Singh, Rajinder Singh and Sadiq Hussain Malik.
