POONCH, Nov 2: The Nangi Tekri Battalion, under the aegis of Krishna Ghati Brigade, inaugurated the second edition of the Krishna Ghati Premier League (KGPL) T20 cricket tournament at the Sports Ground, Jhullas, today, under Operation Sadbhavana.
The 20-day-long tournament features 27 teams competing for cash prizes worth Rs 8 lakh, with participation from IPL and Ranji players enhancing the competitive spirit. Brigadier, Commander Krishna Ghati Brigade, graced the opening ceremony as chief guest, while other dignitaries included the Tehsildar Haveli, ZPEO Poonch and the father of Rifleman (Late) Aurangzeb.
The event drew a massive crowd of over 2,150 spectators, reflecting strong civil-military engagement. The KGPL aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and youth empowerment while strengthening bonds between the Army and local communities.
