KPL-X concludes in Gurugram

JAMMU, Dec 28: Tenth Edition of Kashmir Premier League X (KPL-X) concluded in Gurugram which was organized by “Kashmiri Peace Lovers” an organization from Kashmir valley and based in Gurugram.
Twenty cricket teams including eight veterans’ cricket teams, six kids’ teams, four women cricket teams and two para athletic teams were invited to Gurugram from different parts of the country.
The tournament was spread across multiple venues, including the prestigious Teri, Mohan & Nishay Grounds; KPL- X attracted top-tier cricket teams, competing fiercely for supremacy in a thrilling tournament that captured the attention of cricket enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.
In the Veterans section the winner’s trophy was lifted by Paras Veterans Cricket Club, Faridabad after defeating Alborew Veterans Cricket Club by five runs. Paras Cricket Club scored 168 runs for loss of 4 wickets in 20 Overs while in chasing the target, Alcobrew Cricket Club managed to score 163 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
For the women section; Sharda Cricket Club, Gurugram defeated Himalayan Cricket Club. Sharda Cricket Club, Gurugram scored 115 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs, while chasing the target Himalayan Cricket Club, Jammu managed to score only 105 runs for loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. For the kids section, JIGER Foundation Kids team, Jammu defeated Shri Vishwakarma University Kids (SVSU) Cricket team by seven runs.
The event concluded with a confluence of cultural activities at the Apparel House Auditorium where cultural expressions, ranging from traditional music performances to contemporary dance were showcased.
Meanwhile, on the concluding day chief guest was Moolchand Sharma, Minister of Higher Education, Transport, Mines and Elections, (Haryana). He also lauded the efforts of organizers for organizing this event.
