Khelo India Women’s Wushu league concludes

SRINAGAR, Sept 8:  A two day-long Khelo India State Women’s Wushu League championship concluded at SKISC, here today.
There were around 700 girls from 15 districts in all divisions who had participated in the two day long championship. Safina Beigh, DDC Baramulla was the chief guest on the occasion, she distributed medals among the winning players, Nuzhat Gull was the guest of honour.
Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull said that Women’s league championship in different sports is the great initiative of the Sports Authority of India and is a great boost to the women folk in the country.
She appreciated the Wushu Association of J&K for conducting the Khelo India Wushu Women’s League Championship in the summer capital. She said that Wushu Sports is doing a wonderful job in J&K and is the only sports in the UT J&K which has given medals at the highest podium.
Maqsood Rather, Joint Secretary Wushu Association of J&K, Mohd Iqbal Manager SKISC Srinagar, Kamal Kishore, Faisal Dar, Ajaz Hassan, Ajaz Ahmed Palla, Mudasir Ahmed, President of Wushu Association of J&K, Vijay Saraf and General Secretary Bhavneet appreciated the organising committee for conducting the event.
