RAJ0URI, Apr 3: The Indian Army, under its flagship initiative Operation Sadbhavana, organised the final of the Sub (Late) Ajay Singh Volleyball Tournament at Tata Volleyball ground, marking a significant step towards youth engagement and community outreach in the region.
The tournament was organised by Romeo Force, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, unity and healthy competition among local youth. The initiative is part of the Army’s continued efforts to provide constructive platforms for young people to channel their energy, showcase their talent, and stay away from negative influences.
A total of eight teams, comprising around 112 players, participated in the event, drawing enthusiastic support from local spectators. The final match witnessed an exciting contest between Khan Club Bafliaz and Choudhary Club Thanamandi, with Khan Club Bafliaz emerging victorious after an impressive display of teamwork and skill.
Individual performances were also recognised, with Mohd Rijwan being declared the Best Smasher and Irfan Khan adjudged the Best Libero for their outstanding contributions in the final.
The event was attended by ex-Sarpanch Bafliaz, Tahira Tabassum, along with other prominent locals, who appreciated the Indian Army’s efforts in organising such meaningful initiatives.
