JAMMU, July 29: The newly constructed building of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Jourian was inaugurated by MLA Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Bhagat today.
The event coincided with the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, celebrated at the All India Education Conclave at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan virtually launched the new education system under NEP 2020 during the national conclave.
In Jourian, the local MLA dedicated the school building to the children and donated five computers and one digital interactive board to further support digital learning.
Assistant Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Jammu Division, Hari Singh, was the special guest on the occasion.
He explained the vision and functioning of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to the gathered audience.
Students of the school presented a colourful cultural programme, prepared under the guidance of teacher Kapil Kumar. The event was compared by Haneef Khan and Seema Dingra.
A vote of thanks was delivered by Haneef Khan at the conclusion of the programme.
Parents present at the event expressed gratitude towards Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the Union Education Ministry, appreciating the efforts made for the educational upliftment of their children.
