JAMMU, July 26: The students of KC Public School (KCPS) organized an exhibition on a significant Round Square tenet, namely, ‘Sustainability’.
Every year, students of the school focus on a relevant theme based on the six principles of the Round Square and 12 tenets of the Round Square Discovery Framework (RSDF) and work on a wide variety of projects based on the theme in all the subjects including performing and creative arts.
The exhibition aims at showcasing these projects in the form of a compact show for the benefit of parents and invited visitors. This year too, the exhibition was held in the basement complex consisting of school library, Junior School IT lab, studios of the Art Arcade, School Art Gallery and performing art rooms such as dance and vocal music.
Round Square schools integrate sustainability into their framework through the IDEALS, specifically focusing on the ideal Environmentalism and fostering a commitment to sustainability as one of the twelve key discoveries.
Raman Gupta, Director Finance, Civil Secretariat, inaugurated the exhibition and visited all the sections in the basement area displaying students’ creative work on the theme of Sustainability. A large number of parents also patronized the exhibition.
The students’ led exhibition was managed extremely efficiently by a sizable number of volunteers who enlightened the visitors about the Round Square educational ideology.
Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra credited the staff and students for putting up an excellent show.
