JAMMU, Dec 5: KC International School hosted 10th Interschool Music Competition-‘Sursangam’ in which reputed schools of Jammu participated.
The participating schools included Heritage School, Jodhamal Public School, Presentation Convent School, JP World School, Jammu Sanskriti School, Model Academy, KC Public School, DPS Udhampur, Banyan International School, APS Sunjwan and SOS School.
There were three categories of group song junior, group song senior and solo category.
The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by a dance performance to seek the blessings of God.
Ranjit Kalra, member BCCI and State Sports Council was the chief guest on the occasion, while
Chairman Vinay Mahajan, Sr Vice Chairperson Saroj Mahajan, Vice Chairman Chaitanya Chowdhary and Principal Maya Mishra were also present on the occasion.
The event was judged by Kuldeep Saproo, Ravi Sharma, Harish Kaila and Brij Mohan.
In group song junior category, Heritage School emerged winner, while KC International School and KC Public School claimed second and third spots respectively.
In group song senior category, KC International School bagged first place, Jodhamal Public School won second position, while third position was shared by Heritage School and Presentation Convent School.
In solo category, KC International School, Jodhamal Public School and Heritage School claimed first, second and third place respectively.
KC International School emerged overall winner, while Heritage School and Presentation Convent School claimed second and third place respectively.
Chief guest, Mr Kalra appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated the host school for putting up such a wonderful show.
The vote of thanks was presented by Principal, Maya Mishra and the event ended up with the national anthem.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Deepali Manchanda and Poonam Bhagat.
The participants of KC International School were prepared by Music teachers Mamta Kalotra and Sahil Sharma. The event was organized by Activity Co-ordinator, Rajni Malhotra.
