JAMMU, Apr 28: Defeating Krishna Cricket Club by 43 runs in an easy contest, KC Sports Club sealed berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing 5th Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Cricket Club at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KC Sports Club scored a decent total of 160 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sahil top scored with 38 runs, while Amritpal Singh and Ateev Saini contributed 34 and 33 runs to the total respectively. For Krishna Club, Manu and Panku bagged 2 wickets each, while Goshu, Veenu and Chiku claimed 1 wicket each.
In reply, Krishna Cricket Club bundled out for 118 runs in 17.1 overs, thus lostthe match by 43 runs. Mithu was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Shubam and Goshu contributed 18 and 14 runs respectively. For KC Sports Club, Aman Sharma was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 important wickets, while Yudhvir and Arjun Choudhary took 2 wickets, while Vivek and Amrit claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik and Rajinder Singh as umpires, while Sandeep Manchanda was the scorer.
