JAMMU, Nov 14: KC Gurukul Public School, Paloura, honoured its young sports achievers who brought laurels to the institution through remarkable performances at Zonal, District, State and National levels.
The academic session saw outstanding achievements in Athletics, Football, Cricket, Judo, Karate, Chess, Pencak Silat, Powerlifting, Skating, and Basketball. Students including Rohit Sharma, Nischay Singh, Krishna Sharma, Aman, Gagan Singh Manhas, Aryan Banal, Saksham Sharma, Sooraj, Utkrisht Katal, Kashvi Chopra, Sanjana Tickoo, Urvi Sahwney, Aagya Chib, Pragya Sharma, Sukhmani Kour, Ayan Banal, Ansh, Ridhima, Kuvira, Aarav, Yashita, Preethivardhan and Mansi Rajput excelled by securing top positions at multiple levels of competition.
Notably, Sukhmani Kour (Class IX-B) and Sanjana Tickoo (Class XI-B) earned National selection in Karate (U-17) and PencakSilat respectively. Kashvi Chopra (Class XII-C) also achieved a State-level selection in Judo (U-17), while several others like Utkrisht Katal and Sooraj proved their strength in Powerlifting at the District level.
The school’s young athletes Aryan Banal, Rohit Sharma, Krishna Sharma, and Nischay Singh also displayed remarkable performances in track events, while the Cricket and Basketball teams made their mark at the Zonal level.
The school management praised the students and sports faculty, acknowledging their commitment to nurturing talent and promoting holistic development, combining academics with physical fitness and character building.
