Katra all set to host 12th Mission Dosti International Indian Style Dangal

JAMMU, Oct 2: The holy town of Katra in District Reasi is all set to host 12th Mission Dosti International Indian Style Dangal, which is scheduled to be held on October 9 at Shrine Board’s Sports Complex, Katra.
The decision regarding organizing this mega, historic and biggest International Indian style dangal was taken in a meeting at Shrine Board Central Office Katra, which was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Executive Officer Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Dr Piyush Singla.
The meeting was also attended by President, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sub Divisional Magistrate Katra, Neelam Khajuria, Deputy Chief Executive Officer SMVDSB Katra, Amit Vermani, Additional Superintendent of Police Katra, Samir Kotwal, Tehsildar Katra, Mohit Raina, Assistant Executive Engineer PHE Ajay Sharma, Assistant Executive Engineer PWD, RS Manhas, Naresh Kumar Kesar, Naresh Kumar, Ramnik Nawadha, Amit Rahi and Raj Kumar Padha.
Shiv Kumar Sharma informed that the main attraction of the dangal is participation of four free style International Foreign Wrestlers namely Levean Berianpze, Giorgi Sakandelpze, both from Georgia, Leon Gregory Rattigan from England, Mykhailo Datsenko from Ukraine and Coach Jatinder Singh Rakhra from England.
Sharma said National and International Wrestlers from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Railway, J&K Police and J&K State have already confirmed their participation.
The wrestlers of Jammu region or outside the State can still submit their entries for participate to Shiv Kumar Sharma on mobile numbers 94191-61880 and 99069-72888.
Sharma added that elaborate arrangements have been made for the lodging of visiting wrestlers.
Around 20 officials and 55 Committee members have been put on the job for the smooth conduct of said competition, he said, adding that prize money for the Ist bout is Rs 1,25,000 along with traditional Silver Gurj (Gadda) and 12th Rustam-e-International Title, while prize money for the second and third bouts is Rs 1,01,000.
