Kashyap Sthal Development & Research Foundation hosts online essay competition

JAMMU, June 26: The Kashyap Sthal Development & Research Foundation today hosted the 4th online essay contest—an yearly event—aimed at bringing the displaced as well as non-displaced students close to their birthplace—Kashmir.
In a statement, the foundation claimed, this year, several Dogra students also participated in the event along with the Kashmiri students, making it a huge success.
It said, in the senior category (English), students Manvee Pandita of M Naveen Public School, Nagrota, Tapasvi Pandita (MHAC Nagbani, Jammu), and Reva Dhar (HEE MAA School, Jagti) were adjudged as the winners of the first prize, and Aakanksha Sharma of Shemford Futuristic School, Wanpoh, Anantnag was given the second prize, and Kanishka Puri of DPS Nagbani, and Bhavya Bhat were declared as third prize winners.
Students Rohit Koul and Raveleen Kour were given consolation prizes, the statement said.
Those students of Kashmir Valley, who were awarded on the occasion, were Mihit Safaya of AFS Srinagar, Pandit Colony, Budgam and Aakanksha Sharma of Shemfort Futuristic Wanpoh.
While Namrita Pandita of RM Shri Kendriya Vidyalya Jammu was awarded the first prize in senior category (Hindi), Naina Pandita of SL Memorial School, Tomal, Anantnag, was awarded the first prize in the senior category (Kashur), and Anima Tickoo of Shanti Niketan, Nagrota was awarded the second prize.
In the junior category (English), Shrishti Raina of BSF School, Paloura was given the first prize while as Mihit Safaya of Air Force School, Srinagar (Pandit Colony, Budgam) was awarded the second prize, and Taniya Thusoo of Shanti Niketan, Nagrota was adjudged as the winner of the third prize.
In the junior category (Hindi), Janvi Koul Gurkha of Coventry Scholars, Chinnore was awarded first prize and Nirvaan Pandita of St Peters’ Convent School Greater Faridabad and Kaavish Pandita of SP Smart School, Jammu was awarded the second prize.
In the Koshur category, Tjasvi Pandita of Saraswati Niketan Kendra Purkhoo was awarded the first prize and Abhyank Handoo of DPS Faridabad was adjudged as the winner of the second prize.
Consolation prizes were given to Kayat Puri, Jeevika Koul, Rayansh Pandita, Vedanshi Bhan, Vanshika Choudhary, Anaikati Dutt, Muzaffar Hussain, and Dhanika Warikoo.
