Kashmir Open Wushu Championship commences

bandipora, Sept 5: Three days Open Kashmir Wushu Championship, organized by Wushu Association of J&K commenced at SK Stadium, Bandipora today.
Around 400 players drawn from 8 districts of the Valley are taking part in this Championship.
Shabir Ahmed Choudhary, SSP Bandipora was the chief guest on the occasion.
Wushu demonstrations were presented before the chief guest, which were praised by the audience and the guests.
Earlier, president of Bandipora Wushu Association presented the welcome address, wherein he lauded the efforts of State Association for helping two Wushu players to be part of Indian team for the forthcoming International Championship to be held in Iran.
Chief guest in his speech appreciated the Wushu Association for its initiative to organize Wushu events even in remote areas.
Today sub junior boys and girls events were in the fray, while junior and senior fights will be played tomorrow and day after at the same venue.
