Kashmir Images, Surya Club, Honda CC script wins

JAMMU, July 1: Kashmir Images, Surya Club and Honda Cricket Club defeated their rivals convincingly to move into the next round of the ongoing Friendship Cup Cosco Ball Cricket Tournament at DBN School Ground, here.
Earlier, superb all-round show by Karan helped Honda Cricket Club to drub Varun Cricket Club by a big margin of 69 runs.
Batting first, Honda Club scored a mammoth total of 113 runs in the stipulated 12 overs. Karan top scored with a magnificent 50 runs, while Rahil contributed valuable 42 runs to the total. Beam was the most successful bowler for Varun Club, who took 2 wickets.
In reply, Varun Club bundled out for a paltry total of 44 runs, thus lost the match by a big margin of 69 runs. None of the batsman managed to give recognized performance. Karan was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 4 important wickets. For his splendid batting and bowling display, Karan was adjudged man of the match.
In another match, Kashmir Images defeated Sain CC by 47 runs in a one -sided affair. Batting first, Kashmir Images scored 56 runs with Ramesh being the top scorer with 22 runs. Honey took 3 wickets for Sain CC.
In reply, Sain CC bundled out for 9 runs, thus lost the match by 47 runs. Gurjit was the wrecker-in-chief for Kashmir Images who took 4 important wickets and was adjudged man of the match.
In yet another match, Surya Club defeated Bengal Tigers by 25 runs. Surya Club scored a decent total of 93 runs. Surya was the top scorer with 30 runs, while Aditya contributed 23 runs to the total. Santosh took 2 wickets for Bengal Tigers.
Bengal Tigers, in reply scored 68 runs and lost the match by 25 runs. Suresh made 29 runs. For Surya Club, Aditya claimed 3 wickets, while Surya bagged one. Aditya was declared man of the match.
