JAMMU, May 2: The University of Jammu inaugurated its Inter-Departmental Tournament for the academic session 2025-26 in Table Tennis and Chess at University Gymnasium Hall.
In the opening matches, the Mathematics Department emerged dominant in Men’s Table Tennis by defeating the Biotechnology Department and Physical Education Department, both by 2-0.
In Men’s Chess, the Zoology Department outplayed The Law School, MCA beat Geology, Law triumphed over D.S.R.S, and Physical Education overcame the Design Your Degree Department.
In Women’s Chess, Physical Education Department defeated both D.S.R.S and Law Department, while Law Department also beat Design Your Degree Department. The tournament is being conducted smoothly and fairly thanks to the efforts of officials Raj Kumar Bakshi, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, S.P.D. Singh, Dr. Inderjeet Singh and Anil Singh.
