SHTM, Physical Education enter finals

JAMMU, June 2: The University of Jammu’s Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament 2025-26 reached its thrilling climax today with two action-packed semi-final encounters held at the University Cricket Ground.
The prestigious event is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee and efficiently coordinated by Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI and Campus Sports Committee.
In the first semi-final, SHTM Department triumphed over The Law School by 13 runs. Batting first, SHTM posted a competitive total of 148/8 in 15 overs, powered by a brilliant 73-run knock from Sachin. For The Law School, Aryan starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets for 12 runs. Chasing the target, The Law School managed 135/8, with Abhay scoring a valiant 64. Sachin and Sparsh took two wickets each, sealing the win for SHTM.
In the second semi-final, Physical Education Department outclassed DD&OE by 9 wickets. Jeetinder Singh scored 53 for DD&OE, but Shoaib Naik’s tight spell (2/16) restricted them to 101. In response, Aryan Bhaleal led the chase with an unbeaten 57, guiding his team to 104/1 in 11.4 overs. Matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Ashok Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Anirudh Singh.
