JAMMU, Nov 3: Comprehensive performance by University of Jammu’s team with bat and ball defeated Mumbai University team in the Vice Chancellor Cup, played at St. Sophia Ground, Hisar in Haryana, today.
Batting first, JU team made 116 runs on the board for the loss of 9 wickets. Skipper Raj Kumar Bakshi was amongst the top scorers who made 37 runs with three huge sixes and three boundaries. Deepak Kumar contributed 21 runs. From the bowling side, Shrikant Monde took 4 wickets and Sanjay Pawar grabbed 2 wickets.
Raj Kumar displayed a splendid performance by taking 6 wickets in his magical spell. Shantul Raina took 2 wickets in his allotted 4 overs. However, Balwant and Mohammad Amin shared one wicket each. Mumbai University was bundled out on 81 runs.
Raj Kumar was adjudged as man of the match for his all round performance with both bat and ball.
