JAMMU, Sept 18: The Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Men) Tournament, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu (JU), has entered its decisive stage with the semi-final line-up confirmed after four days of intense competition. The semi-finals and final are scheduled to be played tomorrow.
On Day 4, the matches witnessed remarkable display of skill, strength and strategy. Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua outclassed GDC Doda by 17 points, while PG Department JU overcame GDC Chenani by 10 points. GDC Bhaderwah edged past GDC Reasi with a narrow 5-point win, and MIET College defeated GCET by 4 points.
The victories set the stage for thrilling semi-final clashes, with the grand finale to follow, deciding the championship of this prestigious inter-collegiate tournament.
The event is being held under the supervision of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, with support from his team to ensure smooth conduct of the competition.
The technical panel comprising Anil Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav Singh, Amandeep Singh, Raki Sharma, and Gagan Kumar has been officiating the matches.
