JAMMU, Sept 19: Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, successfully hosted the Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (Women) Championship 2025-26 at the University Campus today.
The much-awaited athletic event witnessed enthusiastic participation from women athletes of various affiliated colleges, filling the campus with excitement, sportsmanship and healthy competition.
The Championship was graced by Prof Nalini Pathania, Principal, Government College for Women (GCW) Udhampur, who attended the event as the guest of honour. The proceedings were formally flagged off by Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, in the presence of a galaxy of faculty members and sports officials.
In the results, Parul Sharma from the PG Department, University of Jammu, clinched the Gold Medal, while the Silver Medal went to Preeti Khajuria of GCW Udhampur. The Bronze Medal was secured by Radhika from GDC Basholi.
The event was smoothly conducted by a team of technical officials comprising Gurcharan Singh, Nirmal Singh, Gagan Kumar, Vikas Karlopia, Ravish Vaid, Harinderpal Singh, Dr Inderjeet Singh, Dr Mahak, Rishiv Sharma and Richa Mandla.
