JAMMU, Sept 20: The Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, organized the Inter-Collegiate Cross Country (Men) Championship 2025-26 at the university campus today. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from athletes representing various affiliated colleges, promoting a spirit of sportsmanship and healthy competition.
The Championship was formally flagged off by Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, in the presence of faculty members and officials including Dr. Mandeep Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Gagan Kumar, PD Singh, Jai Bharat, Mukesh Sharma, Dr. Rupali Slathia, Dr. Vikram Jamwal, Tanpreet Singh, Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Dr. Neeraj Gupta and others, whose presence encouraged the participants.
In a competitive and well-managed race, Shivam Sharma (GDC Kathua) secured the Gold Medal, followed by Rohit Singh (GDC Udhampur) with Silver and Pardeep Singh (GDC Ramnagar) claiming the Bronze Medal.
The event was smoothly conducted by a team of technical officials including Gurcharan Singh, Nirmal Singh, Dr. Mahak, Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Gagan Kumar and others, ensuring its overall success.
