JAMMU, Oct 17: The University of Jammu triumphed over RTM University Nagpur by 9 wickets in the All India VC Cup 2024 here today. The event was organized by Panjab University, Chandigarh. After winning the toss, RTM University chose to bat first, managing to score 107 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets. Ninad Raut was the standout performer for Nagpur, scoring 48 runs off 42 balls, while Akhshay contributed 11 runs from 18 balls.
For the University of Jammu, Rajesh excelled with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 23 runs. Raj Kumar Bakshi and Karan also impressed, each claiming 2 wickets, while Niranjan and Balwant picked up 1 wicket each.
In response, the University of Jammu chased down the target effortlessly, scoring 108 runs in just 12.2 overs for the loss of 1 wicket. Suheel remained unbeaten on 42 off 37 balls, supported by Shantul Raina with 33 runs off 19 balls, and Ameet, who scored 22 not out off 18 balls. Mehinder Bhau was the lone wicket-taker for RTM, claiming 1 wicket for 23 runs. Rajesh was named the Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
