Jammu, Nov 9: The University of Jammu cricket team continued its winning streak in the All India Vice-Chancellor’s T-20 Tournament being played at Ludhiana, securing a commanding 70-run victory against MPKV Rahuri.
Batting first, the University of Jammu posted a formidable 200/4 in 20 overs, highlighted by Shantul Raina’s brilliant unbeaten century (113*), ably supported by Sandeep Bakshi’s fluent 71*. For MPKV Rahuri, Sachin Bhingarde claimed 4 crucial wickets.
In reply, MPKV Rahuri were restricted to 130 all out in 17.5 overs. Sachin Sonawane (43) and Satpal (21) offered resistance, but the University bowling attack was unrelenting. Karan led the charge with 4 wickets for 17 runs, Rajesh took 3/23, Amin grabbed 2 and Raj Kumar Bakshi picked 1. Shantul Raina was named Man of the Match for his exceptional performance.
