JAMMU, Sept 15: For his consistent performances and superb skill, J&K’s ace golfer Raghav Wahi, son of Sanjay Wahi has been selected by the Indian Golf Union (IGU) to represent India in Bhutan Amateur Golf Championship to be held from September 20 to September 23 at Thimphu in Bhutan.
It is the second International trip for Raghav as he had already been to Jakarta in Indonesia, representing India in Asian Pacific Golf Championship in Under-14 boys category some 10 years back.
Raghav has been in the golfing field since 1995 and has also represented India in junior golf more than once. He has the distinction of receiving child award for exceptional achievements in the year 2002 for landmark achievements in the field of golf.
After playing in the amateur circuit of India from last few years, it is the sheer-dint of hard work and dedication of this young golfer that he had got the nod of IGU for representing the country in Bhutan.
“To be selected for the country is always a great feeling, so I will leave no stone unturned in giving my best,” said Raghav in an ecstatic mood.
