JAMMU, Jan 1: The New Year began with high drama and thrilling cricket action in BIG Jammu Kashmir Premier League (BIG JKPL) 2025-26 at University of Jammu Ground. Two exciting matches delivered intense competition, including a nail-biting Super Over finish.
In the first match, Royal Goodwill Cricket Club faced Tiles and Bath Cricket Club in a rain-curtailed 10-over contest. Royal Goodwill posted 138 for 2, powered by Aadil Reshi’s unbeaten 56 off 26 balls. Tiles and Bath matched the total, forcing a Super Over, but Royal Goodwill chased it comfortably to seal a thrilling victory. Aadil Reshi was named Man of the Match.
The second match saw Kanwal Tigers take on Gamechangerz in a 13-over game. Gamechangerz scored 98 for 7, but Kanwal Tigers chased it easily within 10 overs. Ankush Bandral starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 8 runs, and was awarded Man of the Match for his all-round performance.
