KATRA, Apr 13: 26th Annual Domel Kesari Dangal was organized by Domel Dangal Committee in Association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of Shiv Kumar Sharma its president at Domel, near here.
The 1st malli main bout was fought between wrestler Benia Min of Basant Garh of J&K Police and Farooq Khan of Sarore, Jammu. This bout was won by wrestler Benia that lasted for 16 minutes.
In all, 62 bouts were played in a day-long Dangal.
The second main bout was fought between Nisar of Doda and Babba of Kot Bhalwal which was won by Nisar. Third bout was won by Roshan Lal of Muthi of J&K Police who defeated Akram of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu. Fourth bout was won by Bobari of Sarore who defeated Prem of Amritsar in Punjab.
State General Secretary BSP, Rakesh Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prize money to the winner and runners-up wrestler. Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and President Senior Citizens Welfare Forum Katra Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function.
Members of Domel Dangal committee and technical officers who help in the conduct of this event included Sarpanch Mohd Sadiq, Sarpanch Ramesh Chander, Jambal Dass, Puran Chand, Makhan Lal, Punjabi Ram, Purshottam Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Joginder Kumar, Shanty Lal,Ram Kumar, Raj Kumar Seth, Sudershan Sharma, Raj Kumar, Davinder Kumar, Yog Raj Sharma, Mohd. Fareed, Vijay Singh (Vijju), Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri), Rajinder Kumar Ramotra, Raj Singh, Tulinder Kumar and Murli Dhar (Munna).
