JKP, J&K Bank Academy script wins in State Football C’ship

JAMMU, Apr 9: Jammu and Kashmir Police team and J&K Bank Academy registered wins over their rivals to advance in the ongoing 26th State Football Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
In the first match, J&K Police team defeated Shaheen FC by two goals to nil (2-0). Fazil Rashid and Yaseen Rashid scored the goals for Police team.
In another match, J&K Bank Academy defeated Vijay Club by five goals to one (5-1). From Bank Academy, Jayant and Sunil netted 2 goals each, while Dewanshu scored one goal.
Dushyant scored the lone goal for Vijay Club.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Dheeraj Meenia, Ricky Kumar, Suresh Gupta and Rocky Sharma.
Today’s matches among others were witnessed by Zameer A Thakur, President JKFA; Sheikh Mehmood, President DFA Jammu; Kuldeep Singh, Ramesh Chander, Varinder Gupta and Charan Dass.
