JKCA holding Talent Hunt, Coaching Camps from tomorrow

JAMMU, Apr 4: Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) will be holding Talent Hunt of budding cricketers and their Coaching Camps in the districts of Kathua, Udhampur and Rajouri, under the supervision of former Test Cricketer and J&K Ranji Trophy Coach, Sunil Joshi from April 6, 2015.
According to a handout issued here by general secretary JKCA and vice president BCCI, M L Nehru, the activity will begin from district Kathua, with Talent Hunt and shortlisting of players on April 6 and 3-days coaching camps of 25 players on each day, which will be followed by similar activity at Udhampur from April 11 to April 14 and at Rajouri from April 17 to April 20, 2015.
According to the organizers, under-19 cricketers born on or after September 1, 1996 will be eligible for the Camps.
Meanwhile, in a separate circular issued here, JKCA has notified that the participation in tournaments not recognized by JKCA/BCCI under rules is not permitted and all those agencies desirous to organize tournaments in J&K need to apply to JKCA for recognition and permission under rule-13 of JKCA Rules.
