JAMMU, June 18: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has announced the appointment of former cricketers Abdul Qayoom Bagaw, Vidya Bhaskar and Meenu Singh Slathia as members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) for the 2025-26 season.
Abdul Qayoom, who continues for a fifth consecutive term, is a celebrated former fast bowler and captain of the J&K Ranji Trophy team. Vidya Bhaskar, a prolific batter with 2,178 runs in 48 matches, has served JKCA in multiple roles, including as Chief Selector. Under his leadership, J&K defeated Mumbai and reached the Ranji quarter-finals for the first time last season.
Meenu Singh Slathia, a veteran all-rounder, has played over 120 matches for J&K and Punjab. As a coach, she has led the women’s team to national recognition, including a historic knockout qualification in the 2021-22 BCCI Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy. JKCA’s new CAC reflects a strong blend of experience, leadership, and deep-rooted commitment to cricket development in the region.
