JAMMU, Nov 7: The J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, celebrated the Golden Jubilee — 75 Years of BSG (1950–2025), marking the Foundation Day with enthusiasm and active participation. The event included the presentation of Shri Ram Memorial Awards to the Best Scout Master and Best Guide Captain for their exemplary contributions.
Various schools participated, delivering speeches on the historical significance of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, which began in India in 1909 and formally merged across the country in 1950.
The celebration was graced by dignitaries including Nasreen Khan, State Secretary; Wg. Cdr. (Retd) M. M. Joshi, National Commissioner (HQs) and State Commissioner (Adult Resource); Prabha Jain, Vice President (Guides Wing); Harvinder Kour, ASOC; and other senior officials. Wg. Cdr. Joshi appreciated the dedication of all participants and lauded the successful organization of the event.
