JAMMU, Nov 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Basketball Association (JKBA) will organize the Asmita City Basketball League for women players simultaneously in Jammu and Srinagar from November 14 to 16.
The event is being conducted by JKBA under the aegis of the Khelo India Division, Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council. The Jammu leg of the league will be held at the MA Stadium, while the Srinagar leg will take place at the Gindun Sports Complex.
This marks the first time that the Basketball Federation of India has authorized JKBA to organize an official city league in two cities of Jammu and Kashmir. Faizal Hameed, Treasurer, JKBA and Sushma Jamwal, Chief Basketball Coach, JKSC, have been appointed as the nodal officers for the Srinagar and Jammu legs, respectively.
