JAMMU, Dec 11: Syed Ahtisham Andrabi, a student of IP Higher Secondary School, Budgam, has made history by winning the first-ever gold medal for Jammu and Kashmir in the 68th National School Games (NSG) in the U-19 Boys Weightlifting event held in New Delhi.
Competing in the 67kg weight category, Ahtisham showcased exceptional skill and determination, clinching the top spot and making the entire UT proud.
Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General of Youth Services and Sports, congratulated Ahtisham, his coach and manager, stating that this achievement highlights J&K’s growing sporting talent. He added, “Such performances will help J&K carve a space on the national sports map.”
