JAMMU, Dec 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Yoga team departed today for Ranchi, Jharkhand, to compete in the 50th Sub-Junior and Junior National (Golden Jubilee) Yoga Sports Championship, scheduled from December 27 to 30. The 22-member contingent, comprising boys and girls, will represent J&K UT at the prestigious national event.
The team was flagged off with best wishes by Patron-in-Chief of Yoga Association J&K, Sudarshan Didi, Vice President Ravinder Bali, Mukesh Sharma and Secretary General Vinod Bhatia, conveying greetings from President Akhil Kapahi.
National Yoga referees Aryaaveer Singh and Sabita Sharma will lead the team as coach-managers, accompanied by Bharti Devi and Neha Basnotra. Team members include Satyam, Kriday Sawhney, Akshit Sharma, Urvashi, Bhawani Rajput, Divya Gouria, Parth Samnotra, Aliya Akhter, Paavani Vij, Vasvi Sharma, Arun Kumar, Rohit Verma, Aarav Sharma, Abhay Kumar, Akshi Sharma, Nitya, Romil Bhat, Chahat and Prakriti. Officials expressed confidence in the team’s strong performance and hoped for national-level success.
